How often should I wash my hair with the soap-based shampoo bars?
There is no fixed time period to wash your hair, as the frequency depends on your hair & scalp, your daily activities, climate etc
Will I get a build-up on my hair from using the soap-based shampoo bars?
You can get waxy build up if you use too much shampoo, or if you have hard water (high in mineral content). For best results in all types of water, we recommend our newer pH-balanced shampoo bars.
Are the soap-based shampoo bars safe for coloured hair?
Yes, they’re safe for colour-treated hair.
How do you use soap-based shampoo bar?
A little bit goes a long way. It’s best to wet hair, wet hands, lather up in wet hands, use lather to clean scalp & hair, then rinse well.
Does the soap-based shampoo bar lather?
Yes, it lathers really well, rich & creamy, with no bubbles like detergent-based shampoo.
How do you store the soap-based shampoo bar?
It’s best to keep it dry between uses
*put it on a rack (not solid surface) away from shower water
*or use our Air Dry Soap Saver
*when travelling: pat dry, put it back in the vegetable wax-lined box, leave the box open to dry the bar
Are the soap-based shampoo bars safe for septic tank?
Yes, all of our products are biodegradable and safe for the environment.
My hair is greasy, limp, looks 'wet' using your soap-based shampoo bars?
This is caused by waxy residue on the hair from using too much traditional soap-based shampoo bars, or using traditional shampoo bars with hard water.
Mix 2-3 tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar in 1 litre of warm water, use this to thoroughly rinse hair and scalp.
You may need to repeat this if there’s a lot of waxy residue.

I still have frizzy, fluffly, unruly hair. What product can I use?
Our Professor Fuzzworthy’s Beard Care Gloss or Honey Mud Styling Cream Pomade can help with this.
Put a tiny bit in your hands & rub your hands to melt to wax, then run your hands lightly on the hair.
