This luxury range is the culmination of 30 years of development in green science, harnessing all the beautiful herbal resources that Tasmania has to offer. Beautiful ingredients that were not available when I began my skincare manufacturing journey have now been developed from the farmers, harvesters and growers of Tasmania.
We present to you the first two unique products in a range that will grow to offer you skincare that is not only functional but BioActive; precious ingredients like saffron and blackcurrant stem cells, never used in Australia before that offer incredible benefits that you can see from the first use. Formulated with our French expert cosmetic scientist, giving you the proven formulae that really work, and are beautiful to use. Enjoy Tasmania crystallised into a jar.

Meet the Ingredients
Aker Fassi
The colour of our Bioactive Honey Enzyme Peel and Glow comes from Aker Fassi, a red coloured natural skincare ingredient used by the Bedouin people of Morocco for generations. It is brigh red as it’s made from poppy petals and pomegranate, and we love its gorgeous colour. Red poppy petals are a potent herb in their own right, rich in antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and calming aromatics. Pomegranate’s deep crimson colour signifies an abundance of antioxidants that help to protect the skin against free radical damage.
Tasmanian Grown Blackcurrant Stem Cells
Blackcurrant Gemmo is an extract of the bud of the blackcurrant flower, brimming with pure plant intelligence. It acts on skin cells at the point of replication, shielding them from DNA damage and promoting vibrant, fresh and healthy skin tissue. At the moment, we are the only natural beauty company using this cutting edge, yet ancient ingredient and it’s grown right here in Tasmania by our friends over Marlene Herbs in the North west of Tasmania at Lower Barrington.
Precious Brightening Saffron
Saffron is the worlds most precious and expensive spice. Often associated with Ayurvedic medicine, it is an intense antioxidant, awash with vitamins and healing factors that mend and regenerate tissues – both inside the body and out. It clears, calms, brightens and protects all skin types, and is especially great for people with sensitive skin because it’s so gentle and nourishing. Best of all, our Saffron is grown right here in Tasmania in Glaziers Bay.
Raw, Wild Harvested Kelp
Tasmanian Kelp is a staple for us, its a wonderful skincare ingredient that offers an impressive range of phyto-compounds that target wrinkles and inflammation. It’s rare marine minerals not only regenerate skin, but mop up impurities too. Our supplier harvests the kelp straight from the sea in the north west of Tasmania, a place called Marrawah, known as the cleanest place on earth.
Tasmanian Blue Gum
Tasmanian Blue Gum, or Eucalyptus globulus, is skin medicine from the deep Tasmanian bush. This uplifting local botanical (can’t you just smell those crushed leaves?) is outrageously high in phytochemicals to cool inflammation, kill bacteria, protect against UV damage, even out discolouration and help moisture reach the thirstiest layers of your skin.
Leatherwood Honey and Beeswax
Tasmanian Leatherwood Honey and Beeswax are the foundation for almost all our products. The honey and beeswax sourced from these ancient trees, grows in some of the oldest, most isolated forests in the world, so valuable that over 2.5 million acres of Tasmania are protected as a World Heritage Site. Soothing and calming on the skin, Leatherwood honey is packed with antioxidents and is antimocrobial. It also smells and tastes incredible. We have been buying honey from R Steven, a fifth generation bee keeper in Mole Creek, for 26 years.
Healing Calendula
Calendula is another key ingredient for Beauty and the Bees. We love it so much that we put it in as many products as we can because we deeply believe in its healing properties. Calming and soothing, Calendula is suitable for all skin types and protects the skin from oxidative stress. We buy our Calendula flowers from Marlene herbs, and make our own infusion by maserating the flowers in Ashbolt Olive Oil.
Deep Green Virgin Olive Oil
Our olive oil comes from our friends at Ashbolt olive oil in the Derwent Valley. Their commitment to sustainable farming through to harvesting and pressing their olives within 3 to 4 hours of harvest, means their oil is as fresh as possible, just like our products. The quality of their cool-climate olive oils continues to be recognised and we love it so much we put it in soaps and many of our facial care products due to its hydrating abilities that leave the skin feeling supple.
Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract
Willow Bark is a natural ingredient that soothes the skin and acts as a gentle exfoliant. It helps loosen the dead skin cells on the surface of the skin, which promotes skin cell turn over to leave the skin fresh and glowing.
Fomes Officinalis (Agarikon Mushroom) Extract
Mushrooms are fun guys and they are good for your skin too. Fomes Officinalis mushroom extract has astringent, pore tightening and moisturising effects on the skin, so we put it to work in our yet to be released Mud Mask. Over time our pores can become enlarged. We cant close them, but we can do our best to minimise them to give the appearance of smooth skin.
Chlorophyllin-Copper Complex
A natural colour derived from Chlorophyl, it also has antioxidant compounds that can be beneficial to skin and may help stimulate the production of collagen.
Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract
An extract of the kernels of oats, Avena Sativa has soothing agents beta-glucan, lipids that help with barrier repairing, fatty acids to hydrate the skin and antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. We love it for its ability to nourish and calm even the driest and most sensitve skin.
Ananas Sativus (Pineapple) Fruit Extract
The core of the pineapple contains an enzyme which gently exfoliates and refreshes the skin. It contains some antioxidant and skin-soothing properties, particularly from the enzyme bromelain it contains.
Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract
A potent anti-oxidant since it contains malic acid, Vitamin C and Citric acid. The pulp of the fruit contains an enzyme called papain that dissolves the glue that that binds dead skin cells to the surface of our skin, improving the tone and the texture of the skin.
Walnut Oil
Walnut oil is excellent for hydrating the skin and and nourishing the skin due to its dense concentration of vitamins and minerals. It contains vitamin B and antioxidants & is also high in vitamin E, which has been shown to minimise signs of ageing and profoundly moisturise the skin.
