Konjac is a traditional Japanese jelly-like health food, made from calcium hydroxide or oxide calcium from a type of potato called “konnyaku potato”.

If you are not sure of your skin type the explanations below should help you determine this and point you in the right direction for the perfect KUU Konjac for you.

Our skin acts as a waterproof, insulating shield, guarding the body against extremes of temperature, damaging sunlight, and harmful chemicals it should be our most prized asset and should be treated with love and care.

Our skins need’s change according to changes in our environment and age. It is important to understand your skin type to care for it the best way that you can.

Below is a general guide to your skin type. This is a guide only as every skin is unique if you cannot categorise yourself then KUU Konjac Pure would be the best option for you.

Normal Skin

What does normal mean? You are very lucky you have an even skin tone, smooth texture and do not suffer problems with breakouts, dryness or sensitivity to chemicals and products.

Generally this skin type has non-visible pores and has no oily or dry flaky areas to the skin.

If you have a normal skin we have two KUU Konjac sponges that are perfect for you:

KUU Konjac Pure – Our purest sponge with no added extras. This sponge is white and suitable for all skin types. If you are a purist, this sponge is for you. Kuu Konjac with Added French Green Clay – Have the occasional breakout and want to add a little something extra then the KUU Konjac with added French green clay is perfect.

Green clay has an incredible power of absorption, is rich in minerals and fine essential oils which exfoliate, cleanse, smooth and soften the skin, restoring vitality and glow whilst drawing oil and grease from the skin.

Green clay contains micro-molecules that gently cleanse the pores and effectively removes impurities and toxins, stimulating blood flow and lymph circulation. Revitalising the complexion and tightening pores.

Dry Skin:

Dry skin is caused by the lack of natural moisturiser within our skin. You may notice a dry tight feeling and even flaky areas on your skin. After washing your skin will feel tight due to dehydration.

Dry skin is often affected by environmental conditions such as the weather, air conditioning and chemicals all of which can leave the skin feeling taut and flaky.
